This is my first rest day from any physical cardio since Wednesday of last week. Since then I have burned over 8000 calories, biked over 75 miles, and ran 35 miles. Not to mention all the workouts in between for core building.
Rest days are both good for physiological and physical reason. My training program has me doing three rest days next week and then two weeks with only two days afterwards. The main thing to keep in mind is not to over train and listen to what your body is telling you. Tomorrow my short run is set for five miles as a train for my first ever 15K and shortly afterward my first ever half marathon.

Poem
Perfect Run
Confession of a perfect run
So serene balance and vibrant
Devoted to time
Endless to the mind
Yearning for more
Protected by moment
Viewed by reality
Hidden by age
Lost to tomorrow

Network Etiquette
Can you imagine living in a world with millions of rude citizens starting flaming wars and constantly hurting others?
I see it everyday in the online world and more and more students are coming out of school not understanding what you can and can’t say when interacting with their teachers online. Can you blame them? Their peers do it all the time and no one in school probably took the time to teach them any type of network etiquette.
These network etiquette standards exist and implementing these in education would be a no brainer based on our society types today. Here are 10 rules that are linked to excerpted from the book ‘Netiquette’ by Virginia Shea. She focuses on areas that are fundamentals to us and are taught today anytime these modalities are taught.
Very simply put “Do unto others as you'd have others do unto you.”
I hope you take advantage and read these and start to think how you can implement them in your classes and allow our young learners to be better prepared to function as a citizen in our cyber world.

Poem
Defeat
Defeat instant hidden and dark
Calling the uninvited
Come where perfection stops calling
Echoing the pain that lingers
Soothing newfound bond
Where unfilled past fall and sink
New Life
New Dream
